Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technologist
Amarillo Heart Institute is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technologist, responsible for providing high-quality imaging services during invasive cardiovascular procedures. This role supports physicians and the Cath Lab team by operating radiologic equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining accurate imaging records. The technologist plays a critical role in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions through skilled use of fluoroscopy and digital imaging systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, digital angiography, intravascular ultrasound, etc.) during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures.
- Assist physicians with catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, pacemaker/ICD insertions, and other invasive procedures.
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed for patients, staff, and self.
- Monitor and document radiation doses in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures; explain processes to ensure patient understanding and comfort.
- Maintain sterility of the procedural field and assist with patient monitoring as directed.
- Perform quality checks, troubleshoot equipment, and notify biomedical/technical staff of issues.

We are seeking a Full-Time Registred nurse for cardiac Cath lab recovery.
This is a PRN position. The ideal candidate should hold a current Texas RN license, have a minimum of 2-years critical care experience, be BLS and ACLS certified.
What are we looking for?
- Patient Assessment and Preparation
Cardiac cath lab nurses prepare patients for catheterization. Preparation of patients can include taking the patient’s vital signs, oxygen levels and heart rhythm before the physician examines the patient. Registered nurses ensure the patient’s chart and records are updated. A cardiac cath lab recovery nurse may begin an intravenous line while preparing patients for a catheterization or cardiac procedure. Nurses help ease the patient’s fear and answer questions regarding the cardiac procedure. Cath lab nurses obtain patient consent for cardiac procedures.
- After-Procedure Care
Patients recover from cardiac procedures in the recovery area of the cath lab. Cath lab nurses monitor patients during their recovery in the cardiac cath lab, monitoring the patient’s vital signs, administering medications and updating the patient’s chart. During the recovery period, the cath lab nurse watches for signs of infection or side effects from the procedure. Nurses must be prepared to administer treatment if patients experience excessive bleeding, fever or other side effects from the cardiac procedure.
- Patient and Family Education
Registered nurses provide instructions and education to patients and their families before discharge from the cardiac cath lab. Education and instruction can include information on medications, nutrition and care of a surgical site.

HOSPITAL BILLING CLERK
We are seeking a Full-Time Hospital Billing Clerk.
What are we looking for?
- Collects Medical reimbursements by gathering, coding, and transmitting patient care information; resolving discrepancies; adjusting patient bills; preparing reports.
Billing Clerk Medical Job Duties:
- Hospital billers gathers medical billing information by reviewing census and receiving information from providers and hospital nursing staff.
- Office services are reviewed every morning for the charges previously entered the day before by the physician or nursing staff. Each staff member is responsible for certain providers’ billing.
- Confirms the appropriate diagnosis from the progress note is on the Final Report of all testing before the claims are transmitted. If there is a discrepancy, it is reviewed with the physician and clinic staff and corrected.
- Claims are to be transmitted daily to the appropriate insurance carriers. A review is done to confirm that the claims were sent or if there is automatic rejection due to scrub errors.
- Works rejected claims transmitted that did not clear the scrubber daily. Contact supervisor or Care Cloud if there is a rejection by the payer that you do not understand
- No claim should remain in the bucket for longer than 1 week.
- Resolves disputed claims by gathering, verifying, and providing additional information; following-up on previously appealed claims.
- Prepares monthly reports of missing charges or incorrectly entered charges. Corrections are made if necessary or reports are taken to the physician and clinic staff.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; keeping current on medical billing and reimbursement procedures.
- Accomplishes billing department and hospital mission by completing related results as needed.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing, monitoring, and evaluating a variety of cardiac stress tests while ensuring patient safety and delivering high-quality care in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and monitor a variety of cardiac stress tests, including treadmill, stress echo and pharmacologic stress testing and stress echo
- Continuously assess patient condition before, during, and after testing procedures
- Monitor vital signs, ECG rhythms, and patient responses to exercise or pharmacologic agents
- Recognize abnormal test results and respond appropriately, including initiating emergency protocols when necessary
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining testing processes and ensuring informed consent
- Accurately document test results and patient data in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
